Senior Manager

Southern California/Pacific Northwest

The Senior Manager position is responsible for managing large-sized programs and strategic assessments. As a Senior Manager you will own day-to-day client relationships, facilitate decision making and ensure timely delivery of critical projects. In addition to client delivery efforts, the Senior Manager is expected to support internal projects and initiatives.

Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Lead large, complex projects and programs with little to no coaching 

  • Understanding of data-driven decision making and ability to assess market trends, client data to develop complex business cases to inform go/no-go decision making 

  • Utilize Project Management frameworks to develop detailed work structures and project plans 

  • Provide exceptional client delivery through critical thinking, problem solving and risk mitigation 

  • Work effectively across disciplines and organizational boundaries to prioritize tasks and gain timely closure on decisions 

  • Facilitate multi-stakeholder meetings to drive decisions and accountability 

  • Comfortable engaging the client in tough decisions that serve the clients’ best interests 

  • Lead other consultants on project engagement by providing direction on deliverables and general coaching 

  • Ability to multi-task competing priorities while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail 

  • Ability to self motivate with an entrepreneurial mindset 

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of management consulting and/or program management experience 

  • Strong client presentation, communication and facilitation skills with consideration of cutting edge design elements 

  • Successful application of a variety of management tools and methods 

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred

Manager

Manager, Strategy and Analytics

The Manager position is responsible for managing the hands-on analytics and strategic insights for large-scale programs. You will own day-to-day client relationships as well as the delivery of critical projects. In addition to client delivery efforts, you will be expected to continue to learn new analytics techniques and methodologies that continue to advance our practice areas as well as maintain awareness of new customer experience (CX) initiatives that come to market.

Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Frame and breakdown business requests into components that provide structure for statistical/econometric/data science approaches and translate your analysis into actionable recommendations for implementation 

  • Identify areas in business problems that could be answered with primary research techniques like discrete choice methods, segmentation, value proposition identification, or optimal price setting. 

  • Develop business cases for strategic projects that include addressable market sizing, ROI analysis, outline a product development strategy and operational requirements, outline competitive risks in getting the product/initiative to market, and show alignment with overall enterprise strategic goals 

  • Provide exceptional client delivery through critical thinking, problem-solving, and risk mitigation 

  • Work effectively across disciplines and organizational boundaries to prioritize tasks and gain timely closure on decisions 

  • Facilitate multi-stakeholder / cross-functional meetings where you will present advanced analytics methodology and results to non-technical audiences that drive understanding and innovation 

  • Comfortably engage the client in tough decisions that serve the clients’ best interests 

  • Multi-task competing priorities while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail 

  • Ability to self-motivate with an entrepreneurial mindset 

  • Customer experience (CX), journey mapping and design thinking capabilities

  • Experience interpreting and leveraging data/research to identify critical customer insights, gaps and opportunities for improvement in the customer experience

    Adept in using a problem-solving approach and strategic thinking to take CX insights and align them to broader business objectives

  • Go-to-market strategy and financial analysis experience preferred (but not required) to help assess viability of potential CX opportunities, devise implementation plans, and identify KPIs needed to track success

  • Experience in customer segmentation and quantitative and qualitative research a plus

Sr Consultant, Analytics and Strategy

The Sr Consultant  position is responsible for managing the hands-on analytics and strategic insights for large-scale programs. You will own day-to-day client relationships as well as the delivery of critical projects.  In addition to client delivery efforts, you will be expected to continue to learn new analytics techniques and methodologies that continue to advance our practice areas.

Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Develop business cases for strategic projects to include sizing the market opportunity and ROI analysis, outline a product development strategy and operational requirements, outline competitive risks in getting the product to market, and show initiative alignment with overall enterprise strategic goals

  • Conduct primary and secondary research to help our clients keep an employee/consumer-centric perspective as they work through strategic initiatives

  • Provide exceptional client delivery through critical thinking, problem-solving, and risk mitigation

  • Work effectively across disciplines and organizational boundaries to prioritize tasks and gain timely closure on decisions

  • Facilitate multi-stakeholder / cross-functional meetings where you will present advanced analytics methodology and results to non-technical audiences that drive understanding and innovation

  • Comfortably engage the client in tough decisions that serve the clients’ best interests

  • Multi-task competing priorities while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Ability to self-motivate with an entrepreneurial mindset

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of business experience (3+ years in a highly analytical business role)

  • Strong client presentation, communication, and facilitation skills with consideration of best-in-class design elements

  • Broad knowledge of statistical models and their real-world applications (e.g. model specification, regression analysis, classification modeling, PCA, factor analysis, conjoint analysis, etc.)

  • Experience handling ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering high-quality work in an energetic environment

  • Ability to capture and track goals, tasks, and activities and execute according to that schedule

  • Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, such as focus groups, online communities, discrete choice surveys, market segmentation studies, customer journeys, etc.

  • Successful application of a variety of management tools and methods

  • Proficient in R, SPSS, Stata, or other statistical languages

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred
